We were asked to sing at our choir’s fundraiser. The theme of the evening was “All that Jazz” so we sang the 1951 version of “Unforgettable” by Irving Gordon. The most popular version of song was recorded by Nat King Cole in 1951. Interestingly, the song’s original working title was Uncomparable, but the publisher asked him (Irving Gordon) to change it to Unforgettable. We were asked to dress in the style of the song. The things in our hair are called “fasinators” and they were given to us to wear by a sponsor of the show–they also gave us the necklaces and bracelets to wear.
Here we are. Our mom did our hair for us.
